The Children’s Discovery Garden is a major hit at our show with over 2,000 children and their parents visiting! The 2012 Garden will not disappoint! There is no charge for any of the activities and children enter the show free! Please scroll down on this page for activities, a sketch of the garden and a description! Max Man Reptiles will be at the show Saturday March 3 and Sunday March 4 with turtles, and other popular reptiles. Please note the reptiles will remain in a separate display area and are optional for all children and families visiting the garden.

Pssssst…have you heard about the “Secret Garden”?
Long ago, so the story goes, there was a hidden garden near a large castle, sadly locked up & abandoned for many years. Children discovered its beautiful healing secrets, and restored it to life through their strong curiosity and love of nature!
Nurture your children’s love and curiosity of all things natural at the 2012 CNY in Bloom Children’s Discovery Garden. There’s so much to see and do and no charge for children 12 and under to visit the show!
Play on the adjacent Play-scape, compliments of Atlas Fence and find the hidden child-sized gateway into the “Secret Garden”. Enter the “Secret Garden” from the 2 front main gates, and take your picture at the Animal Photo-Boards or pick a delicious apple off the Magic Apple Tree.
Once inside the “Secret Garden”, children can find surprises in the Treasure Dig, listen to a nature story in the Book Nook, or pot up their own flower in the Potting Garden. Stroll through the beautiful Flower Gardens, spot the local ‘wildlife’ and “living trees”, and hide out in the Magical Willow Sculpture.
Outside the garden, the popular Crafts Area, will have supplies for children to create their own bird feeder. Color, create & learn with our friendly volunteers. Children (and adults too) can also enjoy free professional face painting.
Families are welcome to explore the ‘garden secrets’ of the entire show floor while completing the popular CNY in Blooms Discovery Scavenger Hunt. Return your completed Scavenger Hunt form to receive a gift, and also be eligible to win spectacular family prizes donated by CNY businesses! Parents will find ample stroller parking, along with plenty of benches for relaxing and watching their children at play. A nearby refreshment stand will also offer child friendly snacks and beverages.
